Green Gas Installation

The biogas treatment facility of HVC Group in Middenmeer, The Netherlands, upgrades biogas to grid injected bio-Methane. It is installed on one of Europe’s largest bio-waste digestion plants, capable of processing up to 110,000 tons of organic waste (GFT/FOGO) per year from 46 municipalities. Around 75,000 tons of the food and garden organics is processed into biogas, which is treated by the GG&L plant. It results in an annual bio-Methane production of more than 4 mln Nm3.

The GG&L solution removes Hydrogen Sulfide from the biogas with our Laminol system, after which it is treated further to remove the CO2 and VOCs (such as Terpenes) with the Hybrisol system. In a final step, the water is removed and odorant is added. The bio-Methane is then injected into the Dutch gas grid.”
